The Karibuni is a 12 mt catamaran originally built in the UK with a history of over 10,000 sailing km. Based at Mikadi Beach Camp just south of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, it can carry 10 passengers comfortably on a day trip and overnight 8 passengers in 4 double cabins on longer excursions. It has a galley, shower and toilet.
Karibuni is ready to sail you across to Zanzibar for a day of adventure, peace and tranquility that you will never forget. Or maybe a half day or
full day of cruising out of Mikadi beach looking for the perfect reef.Or choose your own route!! Perhaps a night or 2 on a secluded island. Depending on wind directions we can also sail to Kwale, Latham and Mafia Islands even across to Mayotte and Madagascar! Here you can swim, goggle, fish or bring your kite and do some surfing where no one else has!!

Mikadi Beach Camp is a $30, 40/50 min. taxi ride from the Dar es Salaam airport which involves crossing the harbour via the Kigamboni ferry. There are 12 individual bandas and a shaded camping area for those wanting to either hire or pitch their own tents. Each lockable banda has two single beds, stand up mosquito net, fan and electricity sockets with 24 hr security.
